POCSO & Child Protection Policy
At Kubs Cove Preschool, the physical, emotional, and psychological safety of every child is our highest priority. We maintain a strict Zero-Tolerance Policy against any form of child abuse, harassment, neglect, or harm, strictly adhering to the provisions of The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012.
1. Zero-Tolerance Standard
Kubs Cove enforces absolute zero tolerance for physical punishment, verbal abuse, inappropriate touch, emotional intimidation, or sexual misconduct toward any student.
Every employee, caregiver, teacher, administrator, and external contractor is bound by this policy and must adhere to our strict Child Safety Code of Conduct.
2. Mandatory Background Vetting & Staff Screening To ensure a secure environment, all staff members undergo comprehensive background checks, identity verification, residence audits, and mandatory police clearance certificates prior to employment. Staff members receive continuous training regarding child protection laws and appropriate physical boundaries.
3. Internal Child Safety Committee (CSC) & Internal Complaints Kubs Cove maintains a designated Child Safety Committee headed by the Principal and Management. Any suspicion, observation, or disclosure of inappropriate behavior is immediately referred to this committee for prompt internal review and legal action.
4. Mandatory Reporting Protocols In compliance with Section 19 of the POCSO Act, 2012, any staff member or administrator who suspects, observes, or receives a disclosure regarding child abuse is legally obligated to report the matter immediately to the appropriate law enforcement authorities and the local Child Welfare Committee (CWC).
5. Safe Physical Environment & Continuous Monitoring
CCTV Surveillance: All classrooms, corridors, play areas, and common zones are under continuous CCTV monitoring.
Restroom & Changing Hygiene: Female caregivers assist young children in designated, clean facilities under strict supervisory protocols to prevent unmonitored one-on-one exposure.
Open Door Policy: Classrooms maintain open-door or windowed visibility at all times during school hours.
6. Parent Collaboration & Incident Reporting We encourage parents to maintain open communication with the management. If a parent notices any change in a child’s behavior or has concerns regarding safety, they are urged to contact the Principal directly via official communication channels for immediate, confidential investigation.
